To find your family roots, click on the “Name Index”” button on the left of this page. Click on the indexes on the Data Page to find members of your Hebden Clan family. Make a note of any references which look like this example: D12/27. The number after the slash is the number of the Family Tree Chart (27) which contains details of your family relative(s). Now go to the Family tree Charts by clicking on the blue “Family Tree Charts” button. Find the Family Tree Chart Number in the list and click on the Tree Chart Index. It might be a good idea to print the index if you have the facilities: - you might be referring to it several times. The Index Number D12/27 will tell you where your relatives appear on the chart. With this information you can now look up generation “D” on the tree chart. The most recent generation is at the bottom of the sheet, to the oldest at the top. Having found generation D, look along the line from left to the right to find “27”, and you should have your relative! Follow the links to find previous generations and your family ancestors. Check the entire row; the numbering usually runs from left to right but later additions may be out of sequence.
Welcome to the Hebden Family Genealogy Website. Most readers will use this site to trace their own family connections, but there is more here than just names and dates. Take a look at “Odds and Ends” “Heraldry” and “HIstory” and the map of Hebden village in the early 1900’s.
